The Texters finally got rid of pesky Powerade. They are the first PBA team to win an All-Filipino conference back-to-back years. The last team to do it was 27 years ago.
The game had its fair share of drama as Jimmy Alapag and Rommel Adducul almost ame to blows. Gary David tried valiantly to keep Powerade alive with 37 huge points but alas there was no support from his teammates.
